Description
At the beginning of Part II in Monkey Island 1 (CD version, don't have any other to test), the hunk of meat from Part I reappears in the kitchen. I've experienced this bug twice that I know of, once with the 0.3.0b release and once with a fresh CVS build. Both ways I completed the three quests differently. This bug doesn't affect gameplay, and I no longer had the meat in my inventory (as far as I recall) once I got to Part III (aboard the ship).

I've noticed it too, but I always thought it was an intended feature, so that you wouldn't get the game into an unwinnable state if you somehow lost the meat without solving the puzzle. (Is that even possible.)
Could someone please test whether or not this happens with the original interpreter?

Yes, this does happen with the original interpreter. If you go back into the kitchen earlier, you will notice that the mean returns much earlier than that ;)

Difficult to say this without spoiling the game..... it is possible
to give the meat to <entity> without it being <ready>.
Therefore, when this happens new meat respawns (since
otherwise you would be stuck)
