I've tested to play directly the game (without SCUMMVM) and it works fine (even the sound).
I have just downloaded last version of SCUMMVM: ScummVM 0.3.1cvs Built on Feb 3 2003 00:16:43
My game is on CD, and it's spanish version.

According to the forum thread here http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=814589&forum_id=115756 the spanish version of the dig has a language.bnd file which is xor'd with 0x13. After removing the xor on the text it works apparently.
I don't seem to have a language.bnd file here but maybe I just missed it when copying from the CD.

from errors output, it's from Smush Chunk class. file corruption ? (*.san or *.nut file) dig translation smush stuff is only related to digtxt.trs file. it can't be related with language.bnd file.

Works fine here with latest CVS. Does it work with 0.3.0b for you?
Note that current CVS is not guranteed to work at any given time. You are using it at your own risk... we are currently working on COMI support, and mostly ignore regressions this causes in other games.
