cyberix asked me to file this, as i'm able to reproduce
The attached savegame let you get get diary from the woman in the "Severe Arms" tavern (walk left and enter).
When you got it in your inventory, reload the game once again and try to get the diary- the game won't let you, as you won't be able to choose "Talk about Taidigh" anymore. It immediately switches to the next question about drinking and knitting.
Needless to say this is a no-win situation.

Fixed. The talk data flags weren't being saved - I've extended the savegame format to properly save the appropriate data.
