BS1: Problem with right clicking on item

Reported by: SF/theburny Owned by: sev-
Priority: normal Component: Engine: Sword1
Version: Keywords:
Cc: Game: Broken Sword 1

Description

Hi, i've just launched BS1 under ScummVM, but i have a problem - when a picku up newspaper (near the lamp) and try to explore them (right click in the inventory), i get following error :

scummvm: sword1/sound.cpp:264: int16* Sword1::Sound::uncompressSpeech(uint32, uint32, uint32*): Assertion `dstPos < (uint32)resSize + 100' failed.

and application crashed.

Oh, i must say, i have a special version of BS on one cd (in windows, everything works fine) - it is installer with compressed files, so them fit all on one 700MB CD, so i needed to do some "hack", for example i've linked speech1.clu and speech2.clu to the same file - speech.clu. I just don't have both, but it seems to work (but just started playin, so there may be some problems later)

Isn't it Russian bootleg version? If so I'd suggest you to switch to official one produced by MediaHouse. That one works. Apparetnly they replaced audio compression routines and ScummVM just does not understand them.

It is possible, but there are czech localizacion (not installed) and original, english files. Don't know the format (i saw something about ogg, but i'm not sure). In any way, other items are working well, sot good work. Now, i'm downloading orignal ISO images, so with them it will work pretty good, and as i think - legal too.
