This bug is nice to get fixed before the release. Raising priority for keeping the track.

Missed this bug or I would have commented before.
This ONLY is a problem on the GP2XWiz and not the GP2X.
It is also, unfortunately, just a symptom of a hardware issue with the way the screen is configured on the Wiz (Google "Wiz screen tearing" for loads of info on it). It can happen in other games than COMI under some situations.
There are a few options that can be taken to improve things by adjusting the screen timings but as these can very from console to console I can't just implement a 'good set' and adding an options system to let users tweak the screen setup is well outside the scope for the 1.0.0 release I am afraid.
I'll continue to investigate the issue and look to see if there are any quick fixes or hacks that can help matters but I have to just treat this as a known issue for now.
Regards,
John

Closed as this is 'as fixed as it can be' in 1.2.0 SVN preview builds. Screen updates should be much better and glitches are few and far between (and a feature of the Wiz hardware).
