GOB3: Objects Disappear

Reported by: SF/zeek_the_yoshi Owned by: DrMcCoy
Priority: normal Component: Engine: Gob
Version: Keywords:
Cc: Game: Goblins 3

Description

Goblins Quest 3 for the PC build of ScummVM (v0.10.0) used under Windows XP and Windows ME, the game is the Talkie CD version.

Using either the CD in the drive or using the required files (uneditted) from the hard drive, objects disappear after looking at the "screw" object at the beginning of the game and then viewing a cutscene. The cutscene being when Blount (main character) looks at the parachute and fails to get it. Then, if one is to click on any other object, let's say the knotted rope at the top of the screen, Blount would walk to it and would do nothing and the knotted rope would "disappear" for action (cannot click it to use it again, ever, unless ScummVM is restarted).

In short, the bug is that when looking at the screw object and viewing the parachute cutscene on the boat (first level) the game would get screwy.

Well, the object doesn't exactly disappear, the animation isn't played/drawn. For example, after using the rope, the hotspot for the parrot is there, although it is not drawn. When clicking that hotspot, Chump suddenly appears.

Could you try again with the latest SVN version / next daily build? It should work now...

Yup, seems to be fixed now. I did screw, parachute and finally tried it on both the knotted rope and golf club without anything going wrong.
