I can't reproduce this with my floppy version of Monkey Island 1, but I get a "Game was saved with different gamedata - you may encounter problems" warning, so I guess I don't have quite the same version.

It seems the grog has already been poured on the lock in this savegame, but I guess that's deliberate.

You're not attaching needed information, like the version of the game you're using. Which one is it? PC Floppy/PC CD? FM-TOWNS? Amiga? And which language is the game using (English, German, French etc)?

The save was apparently made for the MI variants with MD5 c7890e038806df2bb5c0c8c6f1986ea2, the 8 disk english VGA floppy version.

mephisto2k6, please tell us: * Under what OS are you running this? * What do you mean with "exit 2 xpsp2" ? * Can you reproduce the issue with a current daily build (e.g. from today)? * If you can, it would be helpful to generate some debug info for us. Like, run the game with the -d9 option, then put the result into a text file, zip that file, and attach that file here (but please do *NOT*, repeat, *NOT* just paste that text as a comment, it's too long to be of use this way!)

The 'xpsp2' would be Windows XP Service Pack 2.
