In fact this is a known issue and is in a TODO list for a long time.
I tried to look into it, but the effort seems to be too big.
Unfortunately the Russian version of Pajama Sam 2 used custom code, to handle speech and support is unlikely to be added anytime soon.
Change the Audio options to 'Subtitles only' if you want to play under ScummVM.
