NIPPON: Stuck in Intro-Regression? (Amiga)

Reported by: raziel- Owned by: peres
Priority: normal Component: Engine: Parallaction
Version: Keywords: script
Cc: Game: Nippon Safes

Description

ScummVM 0.13.0svn (Dec 12 2008 16:14:07) Features compiled in: Vorbis FLAC MP3 zLib MPEG2

A possible regression in the intro. The part where the coat wearing man needs to enter the "Hot Sushi" Bar he ought to "barter the fob" with a mouse to get the tie next to be able to enter.

Problem is, he first has to look at the fob, But this action doesn't trigger any comment. Normally he should say "This is my amulet" to be able to barter. Nothing happens instead. No flag is set either, so that the player is stuck at that point in the intro.

Haven't got the time to test the game, but will do when i get to

Nippon Safes Inc. (Amiga/Multilingual) gcc version 4.0.2 (AmigaOS build 20051012)

I cannot *fully* reproduce your issue with the demo, which uses the very same scripts as the full version.

Truth is, even if Dr. Ki doesn't say anything when you examine the amulet (this my bad!), the flag will be set nevertheless (you should be able to hear a beep). Thus, the player is not stuck. In fact, I could barter my item with the mouse and finish the demo.

Please confirm :)

Yes, sorry for that I can hear ther beep and finish the demo

I'm sure you are aware of the WARNING one gets when entering the "Hot Sushi" screen? WARNING: Cannot find zone 'scambiatie' into current location script. This may be a bug in the original scripts. !

Apart from that this item can be closed
