A save for the spanish version will only work with the spanish
version, so sadly that one isn't very helpful.
Please tell us the error message which gets printed on the console.

Also note, this bug has been reported several times; but so far we never
were able to reproduce the problem, and in fact the bug submitters often
later on weren't able to reproduce it... See also:

Well, the console also crashes without displaying any
message, almost a visible because the speed.

What OS are you using? What mind of setup do you have, in general?

If you are on a unix, I'd suggest running ScummVM through gdb to find
out where it crashes exactly...

I'm getting the same error with version 0.61b on Windows XP.
What's more is that it crashes even if I try to exit the
lab by the stairs with the stamp and signed contract in my
inventory.

The console reads:
ERROR: (34:10002:0xBB2A) Too many nested scripts

I have a saved game for the english version, but I'm new to
sourceforge. How can I upload it?

The only time I managed to confirm a crash in this area of the
game was due to the the users save directory not being
constantly writable (broken samba share in that case).

Although I'm sure that the engine has warned if a temporary
state save failed for a while...

macarro, can you still reproduce the crash with ScummVM 0.7.1 ?

If so, is your save game directory properly writeable? :-)

Kirben, can you explain to macarro how to redirect the error output to a file,
so that we can have a look at whatever errors it might be printing?

Start ScummVM from a Command Prompt or MS-DOS
Prompt and use '>' to redirect debug output to a file.
For example:
scummvm -d10 samnmax > debug.txt
