I also can not reproduce this here - is this still an issue for you? Do other games work properly?

yes it is. last stable version, when game starts, in the menu there is cd music. with the daily builds, when the game starts, there is sound in the intro, but when the menu appears, there is no music. then when i go to the soundoptions for the music, then there is music and when i left the soundoptions, but not till the main menu screen, the music still plays. but when i go till the beginnig of the menu back, the music disapears again.
gamefiles are the same. msuic files are in .ogg.

i found the problem. but i dont know why this was changed or perhaps this is a bug. when u take the wav files form the cd, they are numbered from Track02.wav till Track10.wav.
when i took them from my cd, since the game was supported, i ripped them, and named them to Track01.ogg till Track09.ogg. till the latest stable version 2.8.1, there was no problem with the music in the menu. it was the right one, which was played. but with the dailys builds, the correct menu track is only playing, when there is a Track10.ogg and not like in the sable version Track09.ogg.
why was this changed? because the scumm games for example with audio files, they must be track01... and not track02...
what is now the right order? 1-9 or 2-10. like i wrote. till latest stable was the right one was, 1-9. now likt it looks, 2-10.

I will investigate - thanks a lot for taking a closer look - much appreciated. Just to be sure - there is no crash anymore?
Music::playCdTrack
got a +1 in commit 69c5c3a43c4444d82b0982fb28061914d0f03aed

using track_01.xxx, track_02.xxx should be supported again - feedback would be great if it works as expected for you now.

cd track 9 is now played again in the menu. but one question i have, is this normal, that midi music is playing in the first level and not a cd audio track?
the crash is still there. for example, when i start lba, close the game and then try to start maniac mansion, indy 3 or indy4, scummvm crashes. but not, when i start sam and max hit the road right after lba. but when i try to load lba again, after sam and max, scummvm crashes again.
I cannot reproduce this issue.
