SUPERNOVA1: Assertion error when starting the German version of the game — at Initial Version

Description
I was able to trigger the following issue with the official nightly from the buildbot and with my custom Win32 builds.
Right after starting the German version of Supernova 1, you get the following error message regarding an assertion failure. The English version is *not* affected.
