    11Ehm, all CD versions of Ultima VIII (perhaps with exception of the very original CD release) already should be patched out of the box. What kind of version do you have? Perhaps try again without applying the patch?

     3Edit: Take a look at the CD. If 1994 is printed on it, it's unpatched. Any higher year, and it is. The patched version also has has different Origin logo.
