    33It happens when I choose Quit from the in-game menu. It will go to black screen (sometimes) and I am able to hear the music of the game's main menu screen but nothing happens. Typically, the use case for this is that I load a saved game, wander around between a few screens, then bring up the in-game mini-menu with Esc and select "Quit".

    5 Similar happened once or twice after I died on the first island (where Twinsen's home is). I think it was Twinsen being discovered and getting shot by "police" guys in his house once he reached it. The screen went black, I could hear the sound effect for the "Game Over" animation but nothing would happen afterwards. Again, I haven't found a way to reproduce it always yet.

     8**Edit:** I played quite a bit today, with a build from latest master HEAD on Windows. I encountered no black screen -- and I died a lot; also reloaded a lot.
