SCI: GK1: Problem with speech toggle

I'm using the German version with the newest snapshot.
The speech toggle for the game is bugged. If you turn speech off for the game before starting it, you can't turn it back on in the game itself. While the button changes, nothing happens. Text is not affected by this.

I also reproduced this with GK1 English from the Gabriel Knight Limited Edition.

Thanks for your report! A patch for this issue has been added in 0c5d8949cf31b3b75b4e012bd741bc1704e576ee and will be available in daily builds 1.10.0git-3964 and later.

Thanks for the report! I just wanted to let you know that I was able to reproduce this problem in the 1.0 US English release also. It is possible to enable the speech from the in-game settings by messing around with the toggle, and by adjusting the “sound” volume back up (it gets reduced to zero at some point for some reason). But of course this should be working correctly all the time.
