Grimfandango update was distributed with a proprietary self-extracting executable (original filename 'gfupd101.exe'). It uses a standard Microsoft cabinet, but it's "ciphered". This tool extracts update files and original decoded cabinet. It depends on Libmspack (http://www.cabextract.org.uk/libmspack/, bundled with patch extractor). I was unable to use residual build system, so a standard makefile is used for building. Monkey 4 uses same system, so it could be adapted for this game.
