Description
Fix for the keyboard mouse navigation bug 581473. Also changes variable names to be more intuitive and makes the code a little smaller.

Sorry I already fixed this myself long before I saw you submitted a patch. Not sure if you linked to this patch in the bug report, if you did, I really overlooked it :-(
I'll think about your variable renaming suggestion, it's a good idea.
