COMI: Enable "A pirate I was meant to be" scene in German COMI

Description
We all know the "A pirate I was meant to be" song in the English release of "Curse of Monkey Island".
For unknown reasons, the developers removed the entire scene in the German version of COMI. They even had the subtitles (partially) translated at this time, but it seems they couldn't make it in time.
There's a trick to re-enable that hidden scene in ScummVM by taking the English COMI release, save right before that scene appears and open the created save game in the German COMI. Then, you get the partial translated subtitles with English speech (the song itself is not translated).

Is it possible to create a game/engine specific option that re-enables this scene in the German release? Maybe it's not original, but it would be a nice "easter egg".
