#7867 closed enhancement (fixed)

iOS buildbot: please revert to .tar.bz2 format

Reported by: SF/bsauvage1 Owned by: digitall
Priority: normal Component: Port: iOS
Keywords: Cc:
Game:

Description

The new format .tar.xz can't be uncompressed on iOS, hence the need for a desktop to first uncompress, then install on iPad.
While the old format .tar.bz2 could be uncompressed then installed directly using iFile, for example.

Ticket imported from: feature-requests/683.

Was unaware that the iOS native archiver did not support xz formats yet.

Reverted the buildbot configuration for iOS devices to using .tar.bz2.

This will take effect in a day or so.

Closing as fixed.
