LOL: Support subtitles in "Lore of the Lands"

Description
Since the file ENG\STARTUP.PAK (GER\ and FRE\ as well) contains HISTORY.DIP, the complete unused transcription of the spoken story, are there any chances to enable subtitles (thus fan translations) for the Story "Lore of the Lands"?
I verified in DOSbox that if I disable soundcard support (through setup.exe), the story starts, but returns to the main menu as soon as the first word should have been spoken.

It might be possible to support that. Since the original does not even contain translated versions for German and French it is pretty low priority though.
