Description
Hello.
I am non-native English speaker. And I am considering to study English by playing adventure games with ScummVM. For trial, I tried to play some games several minutes. It seems very good for English study.
I think it will be much more useful for English study if the the subtitle shown so far can be read in the scummvm menu ( past subtitle log menu ) or saved to the separate text file or debug console or whatsoever. Pause key can be used to look up unknown words in the dictionary, but sometimes I want to see the past sentences to understand full context more precisely.

For some engines (e.g. SCUMM) there are tools which allow you to extract resources (such as subtitles) from games, others (e.g. TUCKER) store subtitles in plain text files which can be read as-is by any text editor. Adding this functionality is out of scope for ScummVM itself and since there hasn't been any interest in this ticket for the past nine years either I'll close this for now.
