WII/GC: Possibility to play games at native resolution

Description

It seems that the Wii/GC port does automatic upscaling of games to 640x480 resolution, causing blurring in games with a different native resolution (like 320x240). Playing these games on a RGB monitor (or on a TV set with rgb scart connector) makes the blurring really evident, so i'd like a way to play games with their native resolution (or without blurring).

An example of this difference can be seen by playing games on the snesgx (snes emulator for gamecube/wii) emu with the "original" and the "filtered" scaling.

I can try to produce photos explaining the situation if requested (but i suppose it would be hard, as i had always problem trying to take photos of my Commodore 1081.

Thanks

I'm attaching an horrid hack i made to have scummvm run at 320x240 non interlaved resolution. This makes picture quality a lot better on my RGB monitor and on my television (at least that is my opinion). I don't absolutely ask to integrate the patch in upstream, it is only a proof of concept. If the mantainer is interested the best way would be to have this resolution as a selectable option. File Added: scanhack.diff

Implemented in trunk, but the horizonal resolution has to be 640. Now we have "Double-strike" video modes, which render at 240p, perfect for the older low-res games.
