Description

Hey mr people making scummvm i was wondering about how you said you can't use curse of monkey island and full throttle and such on the ds scummvm because it didn't have enough memory and i thought that could you make a program designed to use the space on the memory card as extra memory to play the games. like whats been done on the pc. just wondering if that would work.

Swapping to disk is likely not worth the effort; on a PC harddisks are fast, but the flash memory on the DS is slow.

I don't think this idea is feasible (and it has been proposed in the past). BTW, besides the memory issue, the fact that COMI requires 640x480 is another blocker.

Swapping data to disk is not really practical on the DS. COMI in particular needs not only memory but also has a high screen resolution and a higher CPU requirement than other games.

It's possible that Full Throttle may be possible in the future using a memory expansion (like the Opera RAM expansion).
