Daily svn snapshots for OSX

Description

I would like daily, or at least more frequent svn snapshots for OSX. I tried building it myself, but it's a pain getting all the correct libs in there, since macports doesn't have them all, and they doesn't really want to be found by configure somehow....

A noble wish. Rest assured, if we had the manpower and resources, we'd try to provide daily snapshots for every port. As it is, we are lucky to even have daily snapshots for Windows & Linux.

As for getting the needed libs: They are all in Fink, so if you used that... ;). And I am surprised that there are any missing in MacPorts, but it's relatively easy to install any of the libs used by Fink manually. Feel free to email me and tell me which ones cause you problems, specifically...

I installed a few of them with macports, but was unable to get configure to find them. also from what I read fink is 9months old, while macports is updated frequently, but anyway, I would think that osx should be on a different level of support than i.e. symbian or iphone since it's a desktop os. I would love to try out and report bugs for the kyrandia series, but old snapshots makes that hard. anyway, if I could get my setup correctly I would gladly make snapshots often. I don't want to install fink though, having two parallel package systems kinda defies the point I think. If anyone could point me towards getting it working I'd gladly help out with the snapshots ;)

Well, Fink works fine out of the box for me with ScummVM, and finds all stuff, so...

But even Macports should work, if you set your LDFLAGS and CPPFLAGS correctly before starting ./configure. For Fink, I set the following in my .profile: LDFLAGS=-L/sw/lib CPPFLAGS=-isystem /sw/include and for MacPorts, something similar should work, with adapted paths.

As for the "level of support" for any given system: This does not depend on the size or popularity of the system -- we are not a company which dedicates resources (money, employees) to various platforms. Rather, we are a volunteer driven organization. Either we have a volunteer to provide daily snapshots for platform X, or we don't. If it wasn't for Kirben, we wouldn't have snapshots for Windows either.

There shouldn't be any problems with MacPorts, the packages should all be there.

In either case: I just updated the snapshots again :). I've been meaning to set up some automated nightly stuff for a while, but so far the snapshots are updated when something reminds me to do them :).

Feel free to email me if you want me to update them (whenever), I basically have to type five commands to do it and just takes a minute.
