MI1CD: crashes past intro

Description
Right before it goes to the "Part 1" screen, SCUMMVM exits and gives me this error in the cmd: "Error: room 96 not in room 96 at 4697642+0 in file monkey.001!
I'm running Monkey CD from the Monkey Island Madness CD.

Does the crash happen if you copy the data files to your hard disk and play them from there? There's a note in the README about random crashes under Windows when playing games from the CD that also plays music tracks from the CD. Perhaps that could be it?
