scummvm -v ScummVM 1.8.0git169-gc3f3b62 (Aug 10 2014 10:58:12) Features compiled in: Vorbis FLAC MP3 ALSA SEQ TiMidity RGB zLib MPEG2 FluidSynth Theora AAC FreeType2 JPEG PNG Also tested with scummvm 1.7.0 from Gentoo portage: same results.
Bug Details A keyboard shortcut from the original game does not work through scummvm: CTRL+S. This would bring up the statistics. Using the mouse and going through the menu still works.
Game Language English
Game Version QFG1VGA from Quest for Glory Anthology CD, and tested also the same version but with NRS patches (both exhibit the same problem).
Platform and Compiler Gentoo x86_64 (gcc (Gentoo 4.7.3-r1 p1.4, pie-0.5.5) 4.7.3)

I'm experiencing this exact same problem again after an update.. I'll admit it's been a while.

This is fixed, hopefully for good, in b4c0be8b42d63cbf3c808be1a94839483f674ce9. This fix will be available in builds 1.10.0git-3951 and later.
Thank you for the bug report. This bug affected other key combos too (e.g. Control-I to open the inventory), and has been fixed in commit 92bf8a5 - a regression from commit 0f90b8e. The fix will be included in the next daily version of ScummVM.
