Frequently pushing the big red button one might cancel the klayman-of-wood gag.

I've attached saves of both times the "wood gag" appears. You can cancel it the same way in both areas. (timing is tricky in the second save, the door must hit you to trigger the falling animation) I'm not so sure this is even a bug though. The way the getting-up animation plays when you do it makes it seem intentional.

I don't think this is a bug. In many situations if you click (anywhere, not necessarily on a hotspot) you can cancel the in-progress animation and (sometimes) make the character walk away. That is the case here:

  • If you click before klayman presses the button, he cancels the action and walks away,
  • If you click after he gets hit, the animation is shortened and he recovers quickly bypassing the "wood" animation,
  • If you "double click" he completes the same "shortened" animation, followed by the normal animation.

The first animation is complete, after 0:14 you see what happens when clicking while the animation is in progress.

Scummvm behaves in the same way.
