When you point at the button or at the checkbox in the settings, popup shows. In Android, if the Belarusian or the Ukrainian language is set, there are spaces instead of letters in popups:
Ўў (Belarusian, 'the short U'), Іі (both Belarusian and Ukrainian, 'dotted I', note that it's not the Latin letter 'i'), Єє (Ukrainian, 'Ukrainian Ye'), Її (Ukrainian, 'Yi').
You can see this bug on the attached screenshot. There is the popup over "Дад. шлях:" (English "Extra path:") button. It says: "Паказвае шлях да дадатковых файла[gap], дадзеных для гульн[gap]". The correct variant is: "Паказвае шлях да дадатковых файлаў, дадзеных для гульні" (English "Specifies path to additional data used the game"). Words "файлаў" and "гульні" are shown incorrectly. That bug is present on the other popups, too. In Windows, this bug is absent.

Not really an Android bug, reproducible in other versions with TTF disabled. The font is probably missing the relevant characters.

This is no longer an issue with current releases, the localized strings seem to work properly in all themes (except "classic" of course).
Attached Android 12 screenshots of version 2.5.0, still valid on latest dev.
