Description

ScummVM doesn't detect Russian DOS version of SQ1SCI. Here are the md5 sums of first 5000 bytes of data files (computed with md5deep):

Is this an original release or is it a fan translation? If the latter is the case can you provide a link to the patch against a original version?

That looks like a link to a complete copy of the game, which is illegal distribution.

Yes, unfortunately it is a full copy of game. The patch was created a long time ago and as it is useless without exe files it was being redistributed with replaced English files. It has spread so wide that the patch was no longer needed as such. Even today, most copies of the game (both on the Internet and on home computers) can be found with installed Russian patch. Finding the pure patch is not quite possible.

Yes, it's unfortunate, since it's illegal. There'll be no support for that from our side.

http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=10366 As I see, it cannot be supported because of another compression type. Sorry.
