Description

testing the nightly build of 1.4.0 (16 Sep 2011) and I just noticed a graphic bug with the ITalian version of Indy and the fate of atlantis. Screen is black and gets displayed only if Indy start walking around, bug is replicable and appears in front of the theather. (see attached image). cant see the bug with the uk version still..

palxber: Thank you for this report. 1. Please can you attach a savegame at this point to enable replication. 2. Please can you test this with a desktop v1.4.0pre nightly build to see if this is Android specific or only related to the Italian FOA and SCUMM engine...

Ah, Lordhoto has reminded me that the theater is right at the start of the game, so a savegame is unecessary.

So: 1. Please test with a Git master development nightly build for a desktop platform i.e. Win32, Linux, MacOSX from: http://buildbot.scummvm.org/builds.html 2. Please can you confirm whether your FOA Italian version is an official version or a fan translation. If possible, please attach a file list with MD5sums to this bug. The output from a tool such as http://md5summer.org/ would be optimal.

The submitter has indicated on IRC that the issue was present on desktop, but is now resolved. This was due to the detection offering a choice of 3 FOA versions, starting with FM-TOWNS, which he chose. This resulted in the graphics malfunctions observed.

Redetecting and choosing the "normal" SCUMM version resulted in correct behaviour. However, the SCUMM detector should not be getting multiple game detections here.

A filelist will be needed to aid in debugging the detection malfunction before any other users have similar issues...

attaching here the checksum of FOA italian, maybe it helps with the detection problem..playing the game on my ASUS TF101 android this days...thanks!

Closing as invalid, since this is a fan translation (from http://iagtg.oldgamesitalia.net/ ), and not an official release.

There is currently no auto detection of SCUMM5 games, if the exact version isn't known. And I don't think it is asking too much, for people to know the game version they actually own.
