ECOQUEST CD: Column riddle never solved

Reported by: raziel- Owned by: sluicebox
Priority: normal Component: Engine: SCI
Version: Keywords:
Cc: Game: EcoQuest 1

Description

ScummVM 1.3.0svn54979 (Dec 20 2010 20:07:57) Features compiled in: Vorbis FLAC MP3 RGB zLib Theora

The column riddle is never solved. The golden mask should talk and award you when you solved the column riddle, but that never happens. The riddle is already solved in the save game, but one can still move parts of the pillars. If one swims out and in again, the riddle is still solved and the narrator tells you that none of the parts can be moved, because they are already in the right position, still the golden mask doesn't react.

It renders the game incompletable (unless i'm missing something obvious here)

There is no bug here. You haven't solved the riddle. When a piece is in place, it'll be locked (and the game will tell you so). You need to move all three pieces (top, bottom, middle) of each of the three columns until all the pieces lock into place.

Closing as invalid

I wrote a ticket for this (#10885) and fixed it three years ago but didn't realize this ticket already existed.
