2002/10/21 Daily(Win32), The Dig Korean
Hi. I have a Korean version of The Dig, and its SPU(TM) version is 8.0.0. -->SPU(tm) version 8.0.0 (Aug 14 1996 15:26:37)
When running it with ScummVM, a crash occur at the start(as soon as ScummVM tries to draw subtitles).
Error message #1(Intro anim.) INSANE Arg: 0 Error(1:2001:0x1A46): invalid character in FontRenderer::charHeight : 236 (234)!
Error message #2("Low here. Come out, kids.") Loading room 2 Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)

There is an official korean ver. of The Dig and COMI... And I re-uploaded kor.patch...

This seems as if the korean version has more character data then the english/european ones. Won star, what kind of text output is used - does it use latin letters, or proper korean text?
In the latter case, it might be a lot of effort to implement this right, we might want to lower the priority for now.

Yeah I can reproduce this with your data file. As the error states, it tries to use char 236 but the font only has 234 chars. Weird. This is a smush issue, I have no clue about this, but maybe aquadran knows more?
