SYMBIAN: Modern theme doesn't work

Reported by: SF/zoppologo Owned by: anotherguest
Priority: normal Component: Port: Symbian
Version: Keywords:
Cc: Game:

Description

I'm using the symbian version of ScummVM 1.1.1, on my Nokia X6 phone (Symbian 5th Edition). If I add scummmodern.zip in C:\data\scummvm, ScummVM doesn't start and I get the attached stdout and stderr files. Maybe the problem is "Couldn't load font 'helvb12.bdf'!"

Ticket imported from: #3023851. Ticket imported from: bugs/4913.

Ok, I don't think I have seen any font request in the theme handling before, so it could be that yes. I will investigate and test.

Ok! Checked the source. Did you use a scummmodern.zip from the 1.1.1 Windows version or an older version? The fonts have recently been added to svn so that might whats happened? Or added resources which is not a part of the zip perhaps.

oops, I was using the scummmoder.zip from the last windows svn. with the one from version 1.1.1 everything's ok! has something changed recently in scummmodern.zip? I tried with the last scummvm(symbian) svn and the behaviour is the same (ok with 1.1.1 scummvmoder.zip and problem with last svn scummmodern.zip).

by the way, why is there a vkeybd_default.zip? How am I supposed to display that virtual keyboard?

For any ScummVM data file (be it a GUI theme or an engine data file) you always *must* use the version shipped with the ScummVM version you are using, as their formats and content can and do change in new versions. Closing this report as invalid :)
