WINCE : Simon 1&2 and Drascula run slow on VGA device

Description

Hi everyone,

So, on my PDA, several non Scumm games run slow. This doesn't occur on scumm games. If every scumm game run like a charm (even monkey island 3), following games run slow : -Simon the sorcerer 1 & 2 -Drascula

With no scaler, the games run at their normal speed (but display on only a quarter of the screen, and this is not playable, of course). With every 2x scaler activated, the games are slow.

Every scumm games run correctly (the only one i didn't test is the dig), and broken sword runs fine too. I tested simon games on every version since 1.10.0 (and drascula on every version since scummVM supports it).

My device is an acer n321 (VGA screen, 640x480, ARM processor).

Thanks in advance, (and congratulations for all that incredible work :) )

I committed an ARM code version of the MameAdvx2 scaler the other day. That should significantly speed up performance in new builds.

I have a build at http://www.wss.co.uk/scummvm/pncfreak with the new fast scaler in, but that only contains the Scumm engine.

The drascula engine could use some optimization. If Robin's patch doesn't do it, this is too deep for me. I'll close this one up with 'won't fix', but if performance is still suffering ping so we can bring this one to life again. Thanks for the report.
