Description

This isn't a crash or even anything dramatic, but it only happens on big endian machine (PPC Mac). The issue is that when entering the Shades there is a very long pause before the scene switches to the Shades. And by 'the Shades' I specifically mean only the street-view 'room' and am excluding the various 'rooms' (the tavern, the mortuary, the fortune teller, Gimlets, the dead club) directly connected to the street 'room'. So when entering the Shades from the whole city 'room', the screen goes black for a long time (at least 10 to 20 seconds) before the Shades street appears. There is no delay exiting from the Shades, either going to the city or into any of the places listed above--but when going back to the street from those places, like the tavern, there is again a long pause although sometimes the screen doesn't go black but instead just freezes the current view until finally switching). This never happens on little endian machine (Intel Fedora 10).

Thanks for reporting. This should be fixed as of r38316 (the Shades case, at least). If it still happens elsewhere please let me know.
