FF: Freeze after Sam shoots bird

I've attached a savegame from on the Planet Filb after having captured Filbert. If you switch to Sam using the button at the top of the screen, leave the lab and go to the top of the mountain, and shoot the bird. After it falls from view the game will hang for about a minute. The following message is then displayed:
"WARNING: waitForSync: wait timed out!"
and the game then resumes.
I'm using the cutscenes converted as .dxa and .ogg files, and Voices1.wav through Voices4.wav. I also confirmed that this problem occurs in a version compiled using MinGW as well.
