Indy3 Mac -- WinXP 0.11.0svn (Latest, just compiled)
In the catacombs, when using the whip on the hook that you placed in the cork, Indy walks to where he is supposed to and then the game crashes while trying to play sound 54 (which should be part of the Indy theme song).
GDB reports:
Program received signal SIGFPE, Arithmetic exception. 0x004b4c50 in ?? ()

Works fine over here, no crash. Although the sound of the water rushing down (number 8, it seems) is not looping, which is pity.

While it does not crash for me, I see a potential cause for the crash on your system: Sound 54 has a size of 0 bytes, which causes the crash. I added a check for this condition, which hopefully cures the problem for you.
Remains to investigate why it has size 0 (bug or feature?), and whether we can do something about looping... ;)
