I've been unable to replicate this. I know it's near the start, but could you attach a savegame from the room?

Also, could you answer the following:
- When you say 'swords', do you mean the 'Schweter' above the door, or the 'Waffen' on the wall.
- When you say endless loop, is the description dialog frozen in place, or do you mean it breifly disappears and then appears again?
- Do you use the keyboard or mouse to close?
- Is it possible that you're double-clicking the mouse, which is causing the dialog to close and then reselect the item on the second click?

Yes the Schwerter/swords above the door. Waffen is weapons in english.
If the game locks up I never see the dialog.
hm it seems after I save the game the error is gone.
If I don't save I don't get the dialog window

A fix for bug 1842225 may have resolved this problem. If you could retest
with the newest SVN, and see whether it still crashes?
