While we're at it, here are the MD5s for the English Atari ST version. :)

md5sum for the English Atari ST version of Ween: The Prophecy. These are all files except the .PRG executable. I'm not sure if the *.snd files are used (or will be used in the future).

I'd need the MD5s of the first 5000 bytes (if you're on Linux, try "head -c5000 $file | md5sum") of the intro.stk files. ScummVM should print that out if the version is not yet known, too. Also, the file sizes of these files would be nice as well.

File sizes:

MD5 of first 5000 bytes:

569d679fe41d49972d34c9fce5930dda Bargon Attack (Amiga)/intro.stk 569d679fe41d49972d34c9fce5930dda Bargon Attack (Atari ST)/intro.stk bfd9d02faf3d8d60a2cf744f95eb48dd Ween - The Prophecy (Amiga)/intro.stk bfd9d02faf3d8d60a2cf744f95eb48dd Ween - The Prophecy (Atari ST)/intro.stk

As you see, the first 5000 bytes are identical in the Amiga and Atari versions of Bargon Attack but the whole intro.stk files are not. In Ween - The Prophecy the whole intro.stk files are identical for Amiga and Atari version but the disk2.stk and disk3.stk differ.

ScummVM detect the Atari version of Ween as the Amiga version and then complains about "WARNING: Couldn't load instruments file!".

Hmm, the MD5 sums you provided for the full files from Bargon Attack Amiga and Bargon Attack Atari ST are identical. As far as I know, the file for Amiga and Atari ST could be completely identical, because the game scripts check the video mode to distinguish the system. For Bargon Attack, it shouldn't make any difference whether the game is detected as an Amiga or as an Atari ST version, too. For Ween, it does, because different music files are provided for each version.

So, I've added your Bargon Attack version (as Amiga), that should work on both versions. Please try that with the latest SVN repository / the next daily build. For Ween Amiga, I need the size and MD5 of the first 5000 bytes of the ween.ins. For Ween Atari ST, I need the MD5 of the first 5000 bytes of music__5.snd.

MD5 of first 5000 bytes: 7d1819b9981ecddd53d3aacbc75f1cc8 Ween-Atari/music__5.snd d2cb24292c9ddafcad07e23382027218 Ween-Amiga/ween.ins

I didn't realize I should keep the *.ins files before because the datafiles page on the wiki said I should only keep *.stk. Should I also keep the .DUM files? In that case these files are in the Ween Amiga directory (except Amiga executables and icons):

644451 disk2.stk 685505 disk3.stk 456570 intro.stk 2183 mus0.dum 2179 mus1.dum 2614 mus2.dum 82990 mus2.ins 3160 ween.dum 87800 ween.ins

> the datafiles page on the wiki said I should only keep *.stk Ah yes, that was a mistake. Changed it. :) The .ins is the instruments file for the music and the .dum are the music files. So yeah, you need them.

I've added the Ween version now, too, thanks. :) Please check with the latest SVN version / next daily build.

Great! Thanks! I will try it out soon. On the datafiles page, add that the Atari ST version should keep *.snd also.
