SYMBIAN UIQ3: Keymapper does not work

Using the latest stable 0.10.0 release of the Symbian UIQ3 version of ScummVM on a SonyEricsson W950i.
The keymapper function of the GUI does not work altogether. While the premapped functions allow the use of the savegame menu in SCUMM games as well as the 'skip phrase' and 'zone' functions, the rest are non-functional and remapping is not possible - when prompted to press a new key for the function, the program just switches out of the key assignment mode without changing anything.
This prevents the potential circumvention of several cursor-location-caused bugs in GOB games (namely, the lack of screen scrolling in Goblins 3 which there have already been bug reports about and severe problems with accessing the drop-down menus in GOB-engine games and Beneath a Steel Sky).

As of the latest publicly available precompiled unstable build (dated November 24th), this issue has been resolved completely.

Addendum: This also makes the bike-to-bike combat in Full Throttle (yes, it runs perfectly on my phone, I'll have you know) extremely unwieldy as switching weapons and dodging enemy attacks become extremely laborious feats of stylus-waving.
