That's not really enough information to say anything about this. But in general, extra caution has to be done to make a build also support systems before 10.3.9 (i.e. one has to use GCC 3.x). Maybe that was forgottoen. To say more, we'd need the output of a debugger.

In the meantime, Eugene, can you tell me who makes those daily builds? Is that vinterstum's page? We should ask whoever made the builds as to how they are created.

Not me, for sure ;). But yesterday in the logs I saw that it seems that clone2727 built it by himself. And it look like he has some zlib-related problems. See his another report.

Nah, I only build my own for my PC. This was Vinterstum's build from his page.

I am using an Macmini G4 OS 10.3.9 an the same happens: it crashes imidiately. It creates an big file in the crashlog, but i don't know how to submit that. - if it makes sense after all...

Yep this is my build, and looks like something's been corrupted somewhere along the line (and yeah, gcc 3.3 is being used for the PPC build; it's been working fine for a while now. Except for this latest build, for some reason :)

Ok, should be fixed now. Hdiutil was creating corrupted archives on my Intel laptop, for some odd reason. Putting them together on another mac worked fine (though it's a bit of a pain).

I have seen no crashes now in this build.
