GOB2: SFX <-> SPEECH switch?

Reported by: (none) Owned by: DrMcCoy
Priority: normal Component: Engine: Gob
Version: Keywords:
Cc: Game: Gobliins 2

Description

ScummVM 0.10.0svn (Dec 20 2006 10:32:56) Features compiled in: Vorbis FLAC MP3 zLib MPEG2

OK, here's the problem: I have changed (global, for all games) the SFX volume to be lower than, SPEECH and upped the volume of SPEECH to be able to catch every funny line and every joke there is.

These are my settings MUSIC: 64 SFX: 128 SPEECH: 256

Now with Gobliins 2 it seems that SFX and SPEECH switched places, because the talking of the two goblins is far too low to be heared well, otoh the "walking" (occasional) is far too loud. I always have to adapt the volume.

Gob2 doesn't use the Speech-SoundType. Since you use the CD version of Gobliins 2, the speech is played from the CD's audio track and therefore registers as Music...

So, closing this. Sven, may you, please, describe this behavior for both Gob1 and Gob2 CD versions?
