KYRA1: gfx glitch when dying on bridge

Description

version used: current daily build, Athlon64 Linux FC5 English kyra1 floppy

if you enter the bridge screen and don't give Herman the saw, but try to walk across the rope (click on bridge twice), a Brandon sprite will appear in the top left corner of the screen

if you give Herman the saw and he goes out and you try to walk the rope then, no such gfx glitch happens

about the savegame: I think I saved after Herman said his lines, but loading it behaves strangely? (Brandon not visible, inventory empty, Herman talks, Brandon visible, inventory filled?)

Tried CD version today, here Brandon appears next to Herman instead of appearing in the top left corner of the screen. It seems that KyraEngine::characterSays draws Brandon again.

Hmm, is this still an issue?

I tried the CD version (with Herman standing near and babbling about how dangerous it could be :-)) there is no such bug (anymore), at least for me!?

Still happens for me, after Brandon fell into the water, Herman says "Oh no now they make me fix the bridge" and while he's saying that Brandon appears behin him. (checked with CD version also)

Turn off subtitles and play with speech only - the glitch will be gone :-) (CD version)

otoh, with subtitles only or speech&subtitles, the "AAAARGH!!" from Brandon isn't cleared completely either. I'll stick with Speech only, then :-)

Ok fixed now, just the subtitles glitch in the cd version is still there, but that one is also there with the original interpreter.
