ScummVM 0.9.0 CVS 10/1/2005

Using Kyrandia 1 CD English

When I meet up with Malcolm outside Zanthia's dwelling, where he destroys the enchanted fountain, the text displayed on screen is not the same as the speech (CD version). The speech heard when Malcolm is talking is wrong and belongs to different text lines

Text: "Malcolm: Ahoy there matey Malcolm: How goes your quest? Brandon: I have a few tricks up my sleeve Malcolm: Are you ready now? (After this, speech and text are the same) Malcolm: Shall we joust? ..."

Speech: "Malcolm: How do you do there? (different actor than the one dubbing Malcolm) Malcolm: Aren't there any easy parts? (different actor again) Brandon: I have a few tricks up my sleeve (this is correct) Malcolm: So much for enchantment (that's Brandon's line, with Brandon's speech) (After this, speech and text are the same) Malcolm: Shall we joust? (correct actor is speaking now, Malcolm's speech is correct from this point onward) ..."

Follow-up: Brandon tells the line "Aren't there any easy parts?" when the player clicks on the fountain after Malcolm leaves (that's the speech heard for the "How goes your quest?" line that Malcolm says)

Strange. If I start ScummVM and load that savegame, I get the correct speech for the scene.

However, if I then load the savegame a second time (without restarting ScummVM in between), I get the wrong speech just as described in the bug report.

From LordHoto (who couldn't connect to sf at the moment): "Ok I changed the VRM handling while loading a bit, it should be ok now, just try it with the next daily build."
