COMI: Game pauses on one line of dialogue
Reported by: | SF/thursday42 | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Priority: | normal | Component: | Engine: SCUMM |
Version: | Keywords: | ||
Cc: | Game: | Monkey Island 3 |
Description
Once your ship has sailed and your map has been stolen, the crew begins to sing - however, in this case at least, the game refuses to go past the first verse of the song. I was playing the game without cutscene or voice files. The characters still swing their arms, and their are occasional sounds in the background, so the game hasn't frozen, it juts refuses to progress.

To process your bug report appropriately, we need you to provide the following additional information:
* ScummVM version (PLEASE test the latest CVS/Daily build) * Bug details, including instructions on reproducing it * Language of game (English, German, ...) * Version of game (talkie, floppy, ...) * Platform and Compiler (Win32, Linux, MacOS, ...) * Attach a save game if possible * If this bug only occurred recently, please note the last version without the bug, and the first version including the bug. That way we can fix it quicker by looking at the changes made.
This should only take you a little time but will make it much easier for us to process your bug report in a way that satisfies both you and us.
Thank you for your support!

Additionally, this scene is timed to the music and requires the voice files.
This is due to scripting. While it would be possible to add a hack to workaround it, I'm unsure as to whether this is really a 'bug', assuming readding the voice files fixes the problem.

The pirate song in COMI requires the music file ( MUSDISK2.BUN ) to function correctly, do you have the music file installed ?
The original COMI allowed subtitles only (With no speech), so the voice files are optional in COMI. The pirate song will still work fine under ScummVM, even if the voice files are missing.
