To process your bug report appropriately, we need you to provide the following additional information:
* ScummVM version (PLEASE test the latest CVS/Daily build) * Bug details, including instructions on reproducing it * Language of game (English, German, ...) * Version of game (talkie, floppy, ...) * Platform and Compiler (Win32, Linux, MacOS, ...) * Attach a save game if possible * If this bug only occurred recently, please note the last version without the bug, and the first version including the bug. That way we can fix it quicker by looking at the changes made.
This should only take you a little time but will make it much easier for us to process your bug report in a way that satisfies both you and us.
Thank you for your support!

The bug seems to apply to several games. COMI is one of them. To reproduce this bug, proceed for example as follows:
After leaving the cart, steer little guybrush to the carnival, near the rat man. Listen to music. Save the game here. Then exit scummvm. Restart scummvm, pick COMI as game, press F5 to load, and restore the previously saved game. No background music will play.
The attached game state will make this procedure a bit easier.

Well, if it applies to several games, please give us an explicit list -- different games can typically use completely different music engines...

It would be helpful it you mentioned which game you are talking about, because at least with some games the state of the music definitely is saved. The only SCUMM games I can think of that probably don't are the ones that use the really old PC / PCjr speaker music tracks.
Then again, I don't even know if you're talking about the SCUMM games. E.g. Broken Sword 2 does save some background music state, but only while playing a looping piece of music. And only enough so that it knows to start that piece of music again from the beginning, i.e. not the current position in the track.
