Description
When i first go to Swampling's house and i start my first dish, Swampling says that someone is coming. He approaches the door and the game stops. Here it's the message that scummvm gives:
WARNING: loadVOCFromStream: Invalid Header! rate effect can only handle rates < 65536!
Please help because i don't know what to do. I haven`t much ideas of scummvm

Could you please give the exact filesize of your SIMON.VOC file, ie 170,329,792 bytes.
md5 is a utility to give a checksum value for a file, the value can be compared, to detect a corrupt file.. A Windows version of md5 can be found at http://winmd5sum.solidblue.biz/ For other operating systems, try http://userpages.umbc.edu/~mabzug1/cs/md5/md5.html

Your speech file is definately corrupt, the file size is correct but the md5 checksum should be: 71118F85748D3654406605F3B624FD74
So I suggest copying the speech file from the original game CD again. Try a CD cleaner, if you are having problems reading from the game CD.

Sounds like you have a corrupt speech file.
What language version of Simon the Sorcerer 1 ? What is the file size of your SIMON.VOC file ? What is the md5 checksum of your SIMON.VOC file ?
