#1896 closed defect (invalid)
MI1+MI2: charset 1 not in room 0 at 0+0

Description
i get the following output with summvm:
for monkey island I:
(0:0:0x0): charset 1 not in room 0 at 0+0 in file monkey.000!
and for II:
(0:0:0x0): charset 1 not in room 0 at 0+0 in file monkey2.000!
after the output scummvm terminates. other games work just fine (some with 'Unknown MD5! Please report the details (language, platform, etc.) of this game to the ScummVM team' as these two do, other without).
what may that be? is my backup copy of those old games incomplete?

game version: don't remember - floppy i think. copied all files to cd long ago :-(

could not save a game
problem occured with any version i tried.

If you just copied the files from the floppies, you might have to run the original DOS installation program (using DOSbox or DOSemu, for instance) to uncompress them into something that ScummVM can handle.
That's just a wild guess, though.

Sounds like corrupt/invalid data files. It would be nice if you could verify they work with DOSBox or the like.

i have'nt got the installer anymore... can't try that suggestion. i will close this and search for another version.
