M4: RIDDLE: Crash on Easter Island

Hello,

I would like to give you a little feedback based on my experience. I tested the French edition of Ripley’s Believe It or Not!: The Riddle of Master Lu. Everything went well until Easter Island.

The crash happens almost at the beginning of the island. It occurs when I give the eye of the Moai statue to the old lady sitting down. She stands up, talks to me, and then it crashes. She needs this eye for the other Moai statue that is blind just behind her. I tried other combinations, but the bug happens every time.

I have made two screenshots for you so you can locate the place and see the message that ScummVM displays.

I am at your disposal if you need any help.

I would like to report another bug. This is a bug that does not crash the game.

In the baron’s secret laboratory, there comes a moment when you need to ‘Put glass jar on lever key.’ If the player is on the left side of the screen and selects the glass jar from the inventory to place it on the lever key on the screen, it works without our hero moving to the right side of the screen, specifically under the lever key. Rippley stays on the left and raises his arm upwards, and miraculously, the glass jar is placed on the lever key all the way to the right!

I have tested it with the build, and this bug is present.

I have a small display bug to report, with or without the build, it’s the same. I just finished Easter Island and am at the Posh Express in Lima. I want to ship the Horn and the Map to New York, but the text overlaps. Attached is the screenshot.

One last critical bug to report, as it freezes the game. I finished Sikkim and I’m taking the plane for the last part of the adventure, heading to Peiping. Rippley talks to Mei and they share a kiss. After that, the game freezes with the background sound of people outside.
