Description
When one starts up the original DOS version of Putt-Putt Joins the Parade, there is a chance one gets a little clip that plays advertising their next game Fatty Bear's Birthday Surprise and says it's coming soon. SCUMMVM does correctly emulate this. The problem is that the game actually looks at the system time and either plays a version of that clip that says coming soon or one that says now available if the date is later than ~April 1993. SCUMMVM appears to be stuck in 1992 and only ever plays the coming soon screen. I have no idea if any other SCUMM games have system time checks like and I don't know how worthwhile adding in a feature that would let you set the system time would be. At very least it should probably default to the device you're running it on's system time. I hope this isn't too frivolous of a ticket and actually interesting from an emulation standpoint that SCUMM has system time checks.
